RetireID is the brain child of John M. Gurgel. A writer, a consultant and counselor, an educator and trainer, John has spent more than 25 years working with professionals, helping them find worth in the world of work through personal counseling, academic advising and professional coaching. His wit and survival instincts are a direct result of being one of nine PK's (preacher's kid). His master's degree incorporates three disciplines--counseling, teaching and administration--and his near Ph.D.(ABD) is in administration and cognitive psychology.

He helped start one career transition company and also worked as a Senior Consultant for a web-based executive career services company. Recently, John has worked to develop a retirement program for an international outplacement firm.
